Dear Parent or Guardian,

Welcome to the website of one of the best kept secrets of NYC schools - The Riverside School for Makers & Artists (RSMA)! 

A PreK through 8th Grade school is a special and unique experience for children. I attended a PreK-8 school as a child, and the level of community and connection developed in those many years served as a fantastic foundation for my life afterwards. An anti-racist school community truly serves every child in a way we have not seen in education. I would have been better prepared for my life had I attended an anti-racist school, and providing that opportunity to the RSMA students is my daily work to correct a wrong in our society. A school for Makers & Artists allows for the full development of each child. The schooling I was lucky enough to have as a child may not have been titled for “makers and artists”, but it did allow me to play, help, try, connect, and grow as all our RSMA makers and artists do each day. 

Visiting our website may be the beginning of the school search process for you and your child(ren), and I hope you decide to come visit our community in-person.
